Driving Directions
The Leith Hill Loop track is best started from the suburban street of Trelissick Loop in Castle Hill Village. Near the start of the track there is a straight forward crossing of the Thomas River which should not be attempted if the river is in flood. There is a marked trail which climbs above the tree-line just past the 1000m contour with fine views back towards Castle Hill Village and the peaks in the distance.

Where the track cuts the 980m contour on the southern side, you’ll see a fence heading southwest up the ridge. Follow the fence until the 1060m contour and then continue west along the obvious ridge to the summit. Please note that this section of the track is not marked and some route-finding ability is required for a safe ascent.
